My art is my life’s journey, the soul of my being.

Much of my inspiration is found on Mohegan Island, Maine where I paint the beauty of nature surrounded by the ocean.  I dedicate my work to my “angels”, my son, Peter, who watches over me and to my father, the best critic of my work.  One of my students asked, after my sons passing in 2001, how I could ever paint again?  He paints with me in my heart and my soul, so above each of my signatures, is a P!

I continue to explore, discover and create, and share what I learn.

I am a member of the Cuyahoga Valley Art League, Peninsula Art Academy, Flagler County Art League, and lifetime member of the Brecksville Center for the Arts.  Proudly, I am a member of the unique Whiskey Painters of America, a 150 member’s only association.

A WHISKEY PAINTING is a watercolor (4” x 5” max.image) painted by a bona-fide member of the WHISKEY PAINTERS OF AMERICA (WPA).

The WPA was formed in the 1950’s and has a limited membership of 150 artists. An artist must be nominated by an existing member, and submit two paintings to be juried and accepted, in order to become a whiskey painter.  A genuine Whiskey Painting consists of a miniature piece of art painted by dipping a miniature brush in water and some form of alcoholic spirits into the paints; an interesting combination!
