Karen Williams Edelmann
She is a painter deeply influenced by the drama of the sky and weather. When she moved to New York, from Virginia in 1995 the Hudson Valley with it long tradition of inspiring artists, seemed the natural place to settle. Her first year was spent in Nyack, in a studio next to Edward Hopper’s childhood home. Today she lives and paints along side the beautiful Hudson is Ossining.
Karen holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond where she was also a faculty member. Presently she is a Emerita Professor of Arts at St. Thomas Aquinas College and teaches painting in Nyack at the Rockland Center for Art.
